Spring Dinner Cake
The Spring Dinner... what a cake that was!
The Spring dinner is an annual event held at my former school celebrating the begining of Spring and I was honoured to be asked to create the centrepiece of the desserts.
Each year a different theme is chosen and the theme I had to work with was Spring with the inspiration coming from the oil painting 'Primavera' by Botticelli.
The top layer (pink) was an orange and dark chocolate cake with a dark chocolate ganache whilst the middle (blue) and the bottom (ivory) layers were a fresh raspberry and white chocolate cake with a white chocolate ganache.
Decorated with white chocolate buttercream and hand made flowers including Chrysanthemums, Lily of the Valley, Poppies, Calla Lillies, Daisies, Forget-me-nots and many others.

Soleil's Fairy Garden Cake
A special cake for a very special little girl!
A pretty fairy garden with a mushroom house, masses of flowers and a sweet surprise when the cake was cut - M & M's flowing from the centre!
Fairy, flowers, mushroom - even the path - are all edible!
A second, small gluten free cake accompanied this, decorated with the same flowers and piping, which included another (gluten free) sweet surprise in the middle!

Fun little Cupcakes!
Fun little vanilla cupcakes with buttercream icing and toppers made from fondant. An artist's palette, an English Bulldog and of course Cookie Monster!

Pineapple Explosion!
A 30th birthday cake like no other!!
Pineapple was the brief (clearly) but not the flavour! A scrummy white chocolate and fresh raspberries for the cake and a gluten free version for the cupcakes.
All the pineapple scales were made and painted individually, finished with a real pineapple top for effect.

Grandma's Cake
This cake was created for my amazing Grandmother's 90th Birthday!
A rich Black Forest Cake (with lots of fresh cream and kirsch!!). Decorated with a piped vanilla buttercream basketweave pattern and over 120 handmade flowers on top!

Paw Patrol!
I was asked to create a "Paw Patrol" cake for twins turning 3.
Their favourite characters were Skye and Everest, so I created the badges for each Pup and placed them on top!
The cakes are a simple but yummy vanilla with vanilla buttercream rosettes for decoration. Colourful buttercream swirls liven up the mini cupcakes too.

Christmas Cookies
Ah! Who doesn't love Christmas time! These gorgeous little cookies are a basic sugar cookie with royal icing decoration. These had peppermint flavoured icing, but can be any flavour or shape you would like!
These make a lovely end of year token for work colleagues, school or kinder friends.

Easter cookies this time - my little brothers kinder is very spoilt aren't they?
